The Adopt-a-Book fundraising campaign at the Champlain Library was a huge success. The campaign ran from April 1 to May 31 and all of the selected books were “adopted”.  This is the first time that the library held a fundraiser of this nature and a similar campaign with French novels will take place in the fall.

Patrons were invited to pay for one of the books and then donate it to the library. They were able to take the book home and be the first to read it.  The program is a way for supporters to help add to the library collection with a gift that keeps on giving.

The staff and board members are very grateful for the support from these patrons for the campaign and also for the continual support that we receive from the community through donations and volunteers.

The Champlain Library offers many programs and services for all ages.  For more information call the Library at 613-678-2216 or visit www.bc-cl.ca.
