The Champlain Library in Vankleek Hill is hosting a Senior Appreciation Day on Wednesday, June 5, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.  This year, the library is offering a guided history tour of the library, a family history workshop, light refreshments and a chance to enter to win a draw prize.

The number of seniors in Champlain Township has increased by more than 20% in the past few years, and the library staff is working hard to provide many activities, programs, services and resources geared towards this lively group.  The Champlain Library offers the latest in books, magazines, audio books, music CDs and DVDs.  It also offers many programs and activities such as Book Clubs, Genealogy, Knitting and Crocheting, Seasonal Crafts, Astronomy and Home Delivery to name a few.

All ages are welcome to attend this event and have a chat with seniors to learn something new from them as they have a long experience of life and so much to share.  Please stop by and celebrate the seniors in our community!
