Kasia Olszewska is the new municipal planner for the Township of North Glengarry. She assumed her new job on February 19.
Olszewska is relocating to this area from London, Ontario, where she had been working as an urban planner for Zelinka Priamo Ltd. She is a bilingual, professional planner with both private and public sector work experience.
Olszewska credits her time spent working with the City of Saguenay for helping her to attain a great deal of hands-on experience in municipal planning. In this role she collaborated with city planners, architects and engineers on a major revision to the city’s Official Plan.
In her role as the new planner, she will assist property owners and developers with a variety of projects. This will include everything from in-depth reviews of proposal summaries and construction projects, to assessing potential development opportunities for residential, commercial and industrial projects.
“We are very excited to have Kasia join our team here at North Glengarry. Her wealth of planning experience and professional planner certification will be a huge asset to the Township”, said North Glengarry Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Sarah Huskinson.
