Workers were on site during the day on Sunday, January 20 and were back again Monday morning to excavate and locate the source of a water leak somewhere between the Vankleek Hill water tower and Home Avenue.

Conditions were bad yesterday, as a winter storm, wind and extreme cold swept through the region. The wind and extreme cold continue to day, making for difficult working conditions.

We do not have more information at this time.

This was what the leak looked like yesterday, at about 9 a.m. on Sunday. As it happens, a neighbour who lives around the corner from the water tower noticed water bubbling up near the sidewalk on Home Avenue while walking her dogs, posted a photo on Facebook and seeing it, the Review publisher went over to take a look and called the township emergency number to let them know about the situation.
