It gets dark early this time of year, but a Christmas event coming up in St-André-d’Argenteuil should light up the night.

Des lanternes pour le Père Noël is happening on December 15. Paper lanterns will be lit and released into the sky.

The lanterns are not permitted in all municipalities, but they are at this event. In fact, the village of St-André-d’Argenteuil and the Ville de Lachute are sponsors.

Admission is free, and there will be free hot chocolate, coffee, and doughnuts too.

The community event is being hosted by the Centre de pédiatre sociale en communauté (CPSC) d’Argenteuil, an organization that ensures children in the region have proper access to social and health services.

Des lanternes pour le Père Noël begins at 5 :30pm and takes place at Golf de St-André-d’Argenteuil, which is located at 137 rue de la Seigneurie.
