At Shipwrecked Vacation Bible school held last week at Knox Presbyterian church, children discovered how Jesus can rescue us through life’s storms.  Each morning the children had a great time playing games, participating in science experiments, creating crafts, singing cool Bible songs, enjoying snacks and hearing incredible Bible stories. The children were encouraged to bring an offering each day to go towards our mission project. This year we chose to support the Presbyterian World Service and Development’s food security project in Guatemala through the Farming for the Future Challenge. $25 provides seeds for one family to start their own garden and feed their family. Our offering at the end of the week totaled $1025.00. This is matched 3:1 in partnership with the Canadian Food Grains Bank. The  week ended with a closing program and picnic lunch on the church lawn.
