To The Editor,
I am not a big fan of grunge, punk, heavy metal or hair bands. As the founder of Porchfest Vankleek Hill and Chair of this year’s organizing committee I commend the organizers of this years initial Farmfest. This town has a history of welcoming..no encouraging live music and festivals in general. While the style of music, its quality or even its volume (subject to bylaw of course) may not appeal to everyone I think that we have to hold back our criticism or risk that same finger being pointed at our preferred music choices. Too loud? Call bylaw, otherwise let’s live and let live. This festival took up 2 days out of 365. I think we can handle it.
