The Vankleek Hill Cougars have finished their season in eighth place after a grueling 33-game season.  They finished regular season play with a win Saturday against the Bytown Royals.  Despite a penalty-filled game, the team came out victorious, beating the Royals 6-1.  Picking up goals were: Ryan Allen with two and singles to Nicolas Castonguay, Charles Doyon, Marc-Antoine Doyon and Tyler Druce.  Assistant Captain Riley Sauve picked up two assists in his final regular season game.

The NCJHL has decided to do the playoffs a little differently this year in that the 7th and 8th playoff positions are still to be decided through a short round of mini-series. The Cougars will meet up with the ninth-place Morrisburg Lions. Their schedule is as follows:

  1. Tuesday, February 20 @ 8:30 in Morrisburg
  2. Wednesday, February 21 @ 8:00 in Vankleek Hill
