Partners of the Table de concertation pour l’emploi de Vaudreuil-Soulanges have announced the return of their seasonal and student job fair, “Journée EMPLOIS étudiants et saisonniers.” The event will  take place Wednesday, February 21, from 2pm to 8:30, at 150 Perrot Boulevard in L’Île-Perrot.

The day’s theme will be “Reste dans l’action, viens voir ce que t’offre ta région!” — Stay in the action, come see what your area offers you! — with the goal of showing young job-seekers the diversity of job opportunities in Vaudreuil-Soulanges. Visitors can introduce themselves to employers and apply for some of the many positions on offer.

The event will also allow students to familiarize themselves with  www.emploietudiant.gouv.qc.ca, a website that offers advice on job searching, as well as to point them towards Placement en ligne, a database of jobs or internships that will allow them to gain the experience needed in their chosen career path.

As for employers, the job fair is an excellent opportunity to meet applicants directly, to establish first contact, and to present their businesses and job openings.

Last year, the event attracted 471 visitors and 28 businesses and organizations. For more information, visit www.emploivaudreuil-soulanges.com.
