We are all caregivers, but many of us do not recognize that we are. Whether we have little ones at home or we are looking out for our aging loved ones, we all care for someone. Do you bring someone to medical appointments, help them with their banking or pay their bills, do you pick up their groceries, these tasks, as little as they may seem to you, make you a caregiver. Also, being a caregiver does not only mean that you are living with someone whom you are looking after all their needs day after day.
Each year in Argenteuil, caregivers are celebrated. This year, the Caregiver Recognition Day will be on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Oasis Golf Course, 424, rte du Nord, in Brownsburg-Chatham. There will be kiosks available for you to visit in the morning starting at 10:00 am. These kiosks will represent the services that are available to us in the area. A lunch will be served followed by a presentation at 1:30 pm. The presentation will be on the Home Care Services that are available through the Centre Multiservices de Santé et de Services Sociaux d’Argenteuil. Discussion will include: how do we receive home care services, who can receive them as well as what services do they offer.
Tickets are available through 4 Korners Family Resource Center. For the day, including lunch, tickets are available for $10.00. Please confirm your presence for lunch before Wednesday, November 1, 2017. If you only want to attend the presentation at 1:30 pm, you can purchase a ticket for $5.00 by November 4, 2017.
