The government of Quebec is granting  $186,912 to the Argenteuil Regional County Municipality, to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.

This financial aid is is given to each qualifying municipality under the Adapted Transportation subsidy program. The amount is established according to operating expenses in 2015.

The subsidy will be adjusted at the end of the year, taking into account the number of trips taken, the modifications made on the territory, and the trips that were taken outside of this territory. The Quebec government’s most recent 2017-2018 budget has set aside $3 million this year for all eligible adapted transport organizations.

The Argenteuil Regional County Municipality has recorded nearly 20,000 trips taken in adapted transport over the last year.
