On Saturday July 8 at 8:30 p.m., St-Pierre Apôtre Church in Hawkesbury will host the Ambitus string quartet for a night of classical music by candlelight.

The group will perform the Four Seasons of Vivaldi as well as a number of famous movie themes, including “The Godfather”, “Love Story”, “Titanic”, “Unchained Melody”, and “Once Upon a Time in the West”. The program also includes songs by Édith Piaf and the overture “Guillaume Tell” by Rossini.

Short stories of a fairy-tale variety will accompany and introduce each of the works in the program.

Tickets are on sale at the Fleuriste Élégance in Hawkesbury for $30 each.

The concert is part of a series called “Grands Concerts sous les chandelles”, following similar events to be held in Sherbrooke on June 30, St-Jean-sur-Richelieu on July 1, and Gatineau on July 7.
