The Municipality of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge was awarded the Laureate in Intergenerational Initiative for its Gardens Community Kitchens and Good Health/Good Food projects by Carrefour Action municipale et famille du Québec (CAMF).
The CAMF is a non-profit organization for the promotion, implementation, support and monitoring of municipal family policies (PFM). Since 2008, CAMF has also supported communities wishing to undertake initiative towards a Friendly Municipality for the Elderly.
The award was presented at the CAMF annual conference held on June 9 in Gaspé. A reception at the municipal City Hall was held on June 15, 2017 with volunteers and dignitaries to highlight the citizens’ commitment.
