Yesterday, March 2, a fire broke out at Ivaco Rolling Mill on Highway 17.
Two metal billets fell and severed a hydraulic line, which sprayed oil and spread the flames.
“There was a decent amount of damage in one sector,” said Richard Sincennes, the fire chief for L’Orignal, but he said crews kept the fire under control and put it out quickly. Nobody was hurt.
