The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group gave away 150 Christmas trees to families in Lindsay, Alexandria and Perth last Saturday.
The Commonwell staff handed out 50 trees in each community in exchange for a cash donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters organizations in Lanark County, Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes, and Cornwall. The Commonwell’s Alexandria office raised $850 from public donations for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cornwall and District, and Commonwell donated an additional $500. The Commonwell’s Christmas giveaway will be back again next year.
