Hawks sit two points out of first

The Hawkesbury Hawks continued their dominant play over the weekend. They now find themselves two points behind the league, leading Carleton Place Canadians with a game in hand.

The Hawks picked up two more wins over the weekend. Thursday evening they defeated the Cornwall Colts 3-2. During a home game on Friday evening, they took down the Nepean Raiders with a 4-1 win. Matthew Chan was in nets for both of the wins. On Sunday the Hawks suffered a surprising 6-4 loss to the last place, Cumberland Grads.

After the weekend’s action, Charlie Levesque sits third in the league in scoring, with 36 points. Matthew Chan is in second spot, in both goals against average (2.31 GAA) and save percentage (.926 %).

Rick Dorval to coach CCHL Robinson Team in Eastern Canada Cup

Hawkesbury Hawks head coach Rick Dorval will be one of the coaches for the CCHL Robinson division team in the Eastern Canada Cup.The tournament takes place this week in Cornwall. All star teams from across the province will participate in the tournament.  Hawks stars Brett Everson, Chris Smith, Jonny Cyr and Charlie Levesque will all be skating on the Robinson side.
