Open House Career Fair

October 22, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Get a job! Take a tour!

You might be able to get a job and enjoy a tour of one of Vankleek Hill’s local businesses on Saturday, October 22, 2022. On that day, several businesses in the Vankleek Hill Business Park (Terry Fox Drive) will welcome you and the Employment Services Centre will be set up to receive resumés and guide those seeking local employment. Everyone is welcome to attend.

In the weeks leading up to this event, the Vankleek Hill Business and Merchant Association (BMA) has contacted local business owners to ensure that those seeking employees can send their wish list to the Employment Services Centre and could also set up a welcome table inside one of the businesses open on October 22. By doing so, businesses could actually recruit new employees right on the spot.

The BMA organized this event for two reasons–to facilitate employee recruitment and also to open the doors of businesses in the business park so that people could tour and learn more about these employers.

The open house/career fair takes place from 1 to 4 p.m. and the following businesses will be open for tours: Martel & Sons Monuments, Foam Geometrix, Metec Machining Inc., Kyan Culture, Hilltech (249 Main Street East) and Beau’s will be open (Beau’s is scheduled for tours tentatively as there are renovations underway at the location). You can also visit Employment Services Centre at 30 Terry Fox Drive and will receive a beverage voucher which can be used Beau’s All-Natural Brewing Company or at Sarah Cole Cider.
