Journée de la femme Alexandria Woman’s day

March 29, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

For the 12th consecutive year, the « Women’s Day » committee is organizing a full day of events to offer women of our region a day of enjoyment. We are celebrating our 12th Anniversary and we are counting on you to make it an exceptional day.

Many volunteers from the area meet regularly to discuss and prepare the event that will be held on Sunday March 29, 2020 at Le Relais Secondary High School, 100 McNab Street, Alexandria ON.

Here is a brief description of the day: the doors will open at 10:00 a.m. Goodie bags to the first 400 women who purchase a draw bracelet. All will be able to visit kiosks, silent auction, fashion show, workshops and much more. All the profits will go towards the purchase of equipment for the comfort of the patients at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital.

Last year, more than 1200 people attended the event. With the generosity of the attendees, the committee was able to purchase 5 geriatric chairs, 1 heart monitor and 1 mattress with pump. All is dedicated to the patients’ comfort of the Glengarry Memorial Hospital at a value of $28,000. Thanks to the generosity of the community, it was a huge success. Attendees came from all around the region, which is great exposure for what we do.
