Annual General Meeting of the Eastern Ontario Model Forest

Boisés Est, l’Association française des propriétaires de boisés privés de l’Est de l’Ontario, which celebrates 20 years of service to woodlot owners and the community, is proud to welcome the Eastern Ontario Model Forest (EOMF), a long-term partner, which will exceptionally hold its annual meeting of members in Riceville (Fournier) on Wednesday, 13th June 2018.

Presentation on updates regarding wood heating technology (in English)

Title: Modern wood heating opportunities for rural and remote communities in Ontario.

Speaker: Terrence Sauvé, from the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA).

Take this opportunity to bring yourself up-to-date on standards and technological breakthroughs that make it possible for wood to remain a desirable source of energy, particularly in rural areas, while contributing to sustainable forest management.

The meeting will be held at La Cabane des Gars Sugarbush – 4251, County Rd. 16  in Riceville (Fournier), where Jean-Marc Levac produces FSC-certified maple syrup under EOMF’s FSC certification program. It will include a presentation on modern sap processing equipment.

Visit the EOMF website (http://www.eomf.on.ca/) for the agenda, details of the presentations and the mandatory registration form. You will also find all the information you need on the Eastern Ontario Model Forest and its programs to promote sustainable forest management.

For any other information, feel free to contact Jean-Claude Havard, of Boisés Est, at 613-673-3089 [email protected].
