This year, councillors will receive $8,472, or $199 more, while the mayor will receive $28,694, or $673 more.

The deputy mayor, acting on behalf of the mayor, will receive $11,555, up from $11,284 in 2025. The municipality has also established a new base salary of $11,555 for the Municipalité régionale de comté (MRC) d’Argenteuil substitute councillor, set at the same level as the deputy mayor

Additionally, each official will also receive an expense allowance equal to half their base salary, plus reimbursement for authorized travel (including personal vehicle use at the Canada Revenue Agency rate).

The new by-law replaces the old 2022 and 2024 by-laws, with salaries continuing to be paid each month. The by-law takes effect retroactively from January 1, 2026.
