Local theatre, presented by local talent made its debut in Vankleek Hill on Friday, November 28 with High and Main Productions first show since forming earlier in 2025.
Beneath the Surface featured two one-act plays, Edward Albee’s The Zoo Story and Alice Gerstenberg’s Overtones. In addition to the opening night performance on Friday, performances were also staged on Saturday, November 29, and Sunday, November 30.
The venue for the performances was The Creating Centre, appropriately located near the corner of High Street and Main Street in Vankleek Hill.
High and Main Productions spokesperson Konstantine Malakos said the room was filled for each performance.
“Attendance has been amazing,” he remarked.
High and Main Productions was founded as a community theatre company serving Vankleek Hill and its surrounding areas, dedicated to fostering artistic excellence, cultural enrichment, and community engagement. The company is also committed to inclusive, diverse, and equitable participation with a focus on accessibility and representation.
