The snowy, cold blizzard conditions during the previous weekend were not enough misery for some people. On Monday, February 17, many of them jumped into Mill Pond in Alexandria for the annual Polar Bear Dip. The icy immersion in water is a fundraiser for the Glengarry Sports Hall of Fame.
The event was originally to take place on Sunday, February 16, but it was postponed to Monday due to the blizzard.
