The soil will be turned, and prizes earned this Saturday, September 7 near Vankleek Hill.
The Prescott County Plowmen’s Association is hosting its annual Plowing Match at the farm of Andre and Luc Besner. It is located at 7210 County Road 10.
Competitors from across the local area and beyond are expected to participate. There will be various categories for plowing using both tractors and horses. The ground at the site is described as sandy, so competitors will have an idea of the conditions they will be working with.
The match is to begin at 9 am with the competition being fully on the go by 10 am.
This Prescott County Plowing Match is now in its 64th year.
