Meet author Susan McAlpine
Saturday, September 25, 2021, 10 am to 2 pm
at The Review, 76 Main St., Vankleek Hill
Susan realized that when she was growing up, times had been very hard for her family
who came to Canada from Britain after World War II. As an adult, she admired how
her mother had succeeded in serving delicious meals and treats on a very meager
budget. Working with an elderly client, she learned that such economy was widespread
in that age group, and was fortunate that these clients shared many of their timetested
recipes with her. Read stories and the wonderful recipes shared in this book and
calendar, with a healthy serving of local history, too!
