The Canadian Coast Guard was making sure navigation buoys on the Ottawa River are in good condition in recent days. The buoy tender CCGS Île St-Ours was docked in Hawkesbury when it was not on the river doing maintenance work on buoys.
St-Ours home port is the Canadian Coast Guard station in Sorel-Tracy, east of Montréal.
The Ottawa River is navigable to recreational and some commercial vessels from Ottawa downstream to the St. Lawrence River.
