Three people are running for mayor of the Municipality of Casselman in the October 26 municipal election. Incumbent Councillor Paul Groulx is challenging incumbent Mayor Geneviève Lajoie for the role, along with candidate François Richard.
There are six candidates for the four councillor positions. Katy Morin, René Laflèche, and Antonella De Dona are each running, challenging incumbent councillors Sylvain Cléroux, Francine Leblanc, and Anik Charron.
In the City of Clarence-Rockland, Laurier Lalonde and Jay Woodruff are running against incumbent Mario Zanth for mayor.
Clarence-Rockland has eight wards and there are races for councillor in six of them in this election. In Ward 1, incumbent Kyle Cyr is not running again, so the seat is open for candidates Marc Daigneault and Christine Dawood. In Ward 3, candidates Mathieu Gervais and Raymond Luttmer are each challengers to incumbent Carl Grimard. In Ward 4, the seat is open as incumbent Sam Cardarelli is not seeking another term. The candidates for councillor there are Casey Billing and Sameer Chhibber.
Incumbent Councillor André J. Lalonde is not running again in Ward 5. Candidates Don Bouchard and Chantal Sarkisian are each running for the seat. There are three candidates in Ward 6. France Daviault, Sarma Merdian, and David Roy are running to replace incumbent Simon-Olivier Péladeau-Houle.
Incumbent Diane Choinière is running again in Ward 8 and is being challenged by Marc Roy.
In Ward 2, incumbent Stéphane Fournier was re-elected by acclamation. In Ward 7, Michel Levert was also acclaimed, replacing incumbent Trevor Stewart, who chose not to seek re-election.
Russell Township voters will only be electing councillors in this municipal election. Incumbent Mayor Mike Tarnowski has been acclaimed. There are five candidates for the four councillor positions. The candidates are incumbent Charles Armstrong, Dominique Bertrand, incumbent Lisa Deacon, Nick Gallagher, and incumbent Jamie Laurin.
All three seats on the Police Village of Russell Board have been acclaimed.
