Gardens are full of surprises. You plant a perfectly ordinary carrot and pull up something with legs. A beet grows a nose. A tomato suddenly develops a personality of its own. Honestly, some vegetables are just born ready for their close-up!
That is exactly what we are looking for in The Review’s Weird Veggies Photo Contest.
We are calling on backyard growers, local farmers and foodies to show us the funniest, strangest and most oddly shaped vegetables growing in their gardens this year.
How to enter the Weird Veggies Contest
Take a photo of yourself with your oddly shaped homegrown vegetable and send it to us along with your name and contact information.
Email your entry to [email protected] by September 23, 2026.
Your vegetable could also become a local celebrity! Contest entries will be published in The Review’s October 14 edition.
No weird vegetable? No problem! Dress up a regular homegrown vegetable or paint on a funny face. A little creativity is always welcome.
