As of Monday, August 3, several candidates have filed nomination papers for the upcoming municipal election in Casselman. Residents will elect a mayor and four councillors on Monday, October 26.
Currently, incumbent councillor Paul Groulx is the only candidate to have filed nomination papers for mayor. Incumbent Mayor Geneviève Lajoie has not yet filed nomination papers seeking re-election.
Incumbent councillors Francine Leblanc, Anik Charron, and Sylvain Cléroux have all filed nomination papers for council seats. Additionally, Katy Morin and René Laflèche have filed nomination papers for council.
