From August 8 to 23, more than 20 local artists will exhibit in the Big Beaver Schoolhouse of the Glengarry Pioneer Museum. The vernissage (official opening) is Saturday, August 8 from11:00-13:00. All are welcome to meet the artists, view the 55 works & have refreshments. Enjoy a variety of styles, topics and artists. Vote for your favourite!
This is the last show for The Collectif, a group of artists from across Glengarry. When The Collectif began in 2016, it was the only artist’s group in Glengarry. Since then, people took notice and formed their own, more local groups. Glen Robertson now has an art group. Priest’s Mill Arts Centre (PMAC) opened a beautiful gallery in Alexandria. The Encore Photo Club held its second show in May. The Glengarry Hub has recently opened on Main Street. The Cline House Gallery in Cornwall offers many opportunities for artists to exhibit, and Focus Art remains a vibrant organization that welcomes new members. Glengarry is a hive of artistic creativity of all descriptions.
The Collectif has succeeded in inspiring and encouraging artists of all levels and kinds to persevere and share their work for the joy of others (and themselves!) Come see the final show featuring, in many cases, the favourite works of its members.
