Sûreté du Québec police officers, in collaboration with Contrôle Routier Québec (CRQ) commercial vehicle enforcement officers, conducted a road safety operation on Wednesday, July 15 in the area of Route 344 and Route 148 in Grenville-sur-la-Rouge. Here is the summary of the vehicles inspected during the operation:

11 vehicles inspected (4 vehicle combinations and 3 individual vehicles)
Mechanical aspects:
6 mechanical inspection certificates – minor defects
Total 20 defects
2 mechanical inspection certificates – major defects
Total 2 defects
Violations issued by CRQ:
3 tickets
Inappropriate driver’s licence class;
Pre-trip inspection not submitted;
Operator not registered with the Commission des transports du Québec (CTQ).
5 notices of non-compliance:
Incorrect net weight;
Inadequate pre-trip inspection;
Lack of insurance certificate;
Operation of a heavy vehicle with unpaid CTQ dues;
Rear overtaking by more than one meter without signaling;
One vehicle impoundment for an incorrect driver’s license class; and a notice of photometric verification issued by police.
