There are 11 high school graduates across Prescott-Russell whose post-secondary education costs will be a little lower because they have received Job Succession Scholarships from the Employment Services Centre of Prescott-Russell (CSEPR). The 2026 scholarships were presented to the graduates on Tuesday, July 7 in Hawkesbury.
The scholarship program allows each student to receive up to $5,000 from the CSEPR toward their post-secondary education costs. But the students must agree to begin their career in Prescott-Russell after they graduate.
“We aim to see you back in the region because your skills and talents are so much needed,” said CSEPR Board Member Éric Larocque.
CSEPR Employment Counsellor Andréanne Laflamme said the scholarships are a show of confidence in students who want to practice their trades and professions in the region and contribute to the future of Prescott-Russell.
Each scholarship recipient is carefully selected through a rigorous evaluation of their application.
For 2026, the CSEPR partnered with the Township of Russell for the awarding of the scholarships.
