Dear Editor,
There is much discussion about the Prime Minister’s residence. Stornoway, the official residence of the Opposition Leader has 19 rooms plus an outbuilding. The government pays the utilities and maintenance for a residence that seems excessive.
I suggest 24 Sussex Drive become some kind of museum, Stornoway become the Prime Minister’s residence, and a much more reasonable residence be purchased for the Opposition Leader. Stornoway does need $1.4 million for deferred maintenance and modernizing of the electrical system but this is far less than fixing or replacing the current Prime Minister’s official residence
