Three police forces and two paramedic services recently collaborated to teach young people and their families about the dangerous effects of alcohol and drugs with some fun at the racetrack.
Racing Against Drugs was held at Cornwall Motor Speedway on June 2. Members of the SD&G, Russell County, and Hawkesbury Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachments, Cornwall Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and the Cornwall Police Service participated, along with paramedics from SD & G and the United Counties of Prescott and Russell.
Racers and their families learned about the effects of alcohol and drugs, helping raise awareness and encourage safe choices on and off the track.
