It was grand opening day at The Magic Dwarf Shoppe in Vankleek Hill on Thursday, May 28.
The opening followed a very busy soft opening on Sunday, May 17 during the May Show Festival.
The shoppe specializes in a meticulously selected collection of artisanal teas, handmade goods, ritual wares, crystals and divination tools, books and journals, small-batch jewellery, and curious bits and bobs you wouldn’t otherwise come across.
Reflecting a deep commitment to ethical commerce, every item in the shoppe is consciously sourced and fair trade, with a primary focus on featuring and supporting Canadian brands.
The Magic Dwarf Shoppe is the creation of K.T. Anglehart, an award-winning Canadian author of atmospheric young adult urban fantasy. Best known for The Scottish Scrolls trilogy—including the acclaimed debut The Wise One—Anglehart holds an MFA in Creative Writing and has spent years researching Celtic folklore and modern mysticism across Ireland and Scotland. Her literary work, which explores identity and the magic of the natural world, has been featured by Publishers Weekly and various media outlets, such as Global News Morning, and is being taught in schools in her hometown of Montréal.
The Magic Dwarf Shoppe is located at 108 Main Street East in Vankleek Hill.
