Investments totaling $491,254,000 will be allocated to provincial road transportation infrastructure across the Laurentides region of Québec between 2026 and 2028. Four specifically named projects are within the boundaries of the Municipalité régionale de comté (MRC) d’Argenteuil. The projects were announced on Monday, March 30 in Saint-Jérôme by Minister responsible for the Laurentians region Bélanger, accompanied by Argenteuil Member of the Legislature Agnès Grondin.

According to the ministère des Transports et de la mobilité durable, the projects in Argenteuil include :

Launching the bidding process for reconstruction of the Pont Henri-Raby bridge in Brownsburg at a cost of $5 to $10 million and proceeding with safety improvements to Autoroute 50 in Brownsburg-Chatham. The Autoroute 50 improvements are part of an ongoing expenditure of more than $50 million to make the highway safer between Mirabel and the Gatineau city limits.

Culverts will be replaced along Route 327 in the northeast corner of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge during 2026 and 2027. The estimated cost of the project is less than $1 million.

In the rural part of Lachute, work will be done in 2026 and 2027 on the Pont Blanc bridge which crosses rivière du Nord on Route 329. The estimated cost of the work is less than $1 million.
