The Maxville Manor Foundation is celebrating a significant contribution of $147,117.04, received during the Catch the Ace Gala held on March 19.
The funds were raised through the popular Catch the Ace lottery, organized and operated locally by the Kin Club of Russell. The Foundation expressed its gratitude for the club’s continued dedication, as well as the strong support shown by the community.
“We are incredibly thankful to everyone who contributed to this success,” the Foundation said in a statement, acknowledging ticket purchasers, volunteer drivers who assisted with distribution, and retail partners who helped sell tickets and raise funds.
Proceeds from the lottery will directly support the ongoing redevelopment of Maxville Manor. Specifically, the funds will be used to purchase lifts that will improve accessibility and enhance the quality of life for residents in the newly redeveloped home, where construction is currently underway.
The Catch the Ace lottery has had a major impact on local charities, with the Kin Club of Russell distributing more than $8 million to date. The lottery also offers participants the chance to win significant prizes. In the previous round, the jackpot winner took home more than $2.2 million.
The lottery is now returning for another round. Tickets in support of the Maxville Manor Foundation are available online at maxvillemanor.ca and russellkincta.ca. Participants can support the Foundation by selecting Charity #16, with proceeds going toward accessible equipment for residents.
The first draw is scheduled for April 19, with weekly draws to follow.
The Maxville Manor Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to the community for its ongoing support.
