March Break is just around the corner, and the Champlain Public Library is offering a variety of creative activities for kids and families!
The week kicks off on Monday, March 16 at 10:00 a.m. at the Vankleek Hill Community Centre with LEGO and K’NEX. Families are invited to build, create, and take on fun challenges together. No registration required.
Later that day at 3:30 p.m. at the library, kids aged 5 and up can join us to make a DIY Bird Feeder. This simple, hands-on activity is a great way to welcome spring while helping local wildlife.
On Wednesday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m., children 5+ are invited to get creative at our Button Making session. Use our designs or create your own. Express your unique style!
Then on Thursday, March 19 at 4:15 p.m., we’re excited to host Let’s Talk Science. Volunteer scientists will challenge to test their skills and creativity with three quick engineering challenges: move a ping pong ball without their hands, make paper rotors drop on a target and construct a bridge that can carry weight.
Please note registration is required for all activities except LEGO and K’NEX. Register by calling the library at 613-678-2216 or online at bc-cl.ca.
We’re also running a March Break Coloring Contest! Starting Monday, March 16, pick up a coloring page at the library or download one from our Facebook page. Drop your entry off at the library before the draw on Saturday, March 21 for a chance to win!
To register or learn more, contact the library. We can’t wait to see you there!
