On Friday, February 27, METEC Metal Technology Inc. announced it is purchasing the Pfaff-Silberblau product line from Kamotion Inc., effective May 1, 2026.
METEC is hopeful the integration with Kamotion will enhance the Vankleek Hill company’s capabilities in engineered motion systems, mechanical and electromechanical lifting solutions, and industrial positioning technology. The addition of the German-engineered Pfaff-Silberblau line will increase the availability of products to METEC’s customer base.
Using precision and innovation, METEC manufactures snow removal and green care equipment while also providing precision machining, fabrication, assembly, and custom prototyping services. The new acquisition aligns with the company’s goal of diversifying its product portfolio while maintaining a strong focus on engineering excellence and customer service.
METEC Vice President Marc Walz said the Pfaff-Silberblau products will continue to be manufactured in Europe, but there will be advantages for the operations in Vankleek Hill.
That will not change; however, the acquisition will be giving us access to a lot of new clients who can utilize our machine shop, fabrication and engineering services,” Walz said.
The acquisition has led to an additional administrative position involving purchasing, sales, and logistics being added at METEC’s Vankleek Hill office, Walz explained. And the workload has increased for the shipping and receiving department.
“We currently have 32 employees with an additional member joining in a few weeks,” Walz added.
METEC is located in the Vankleek Hill Business Park. In 2025, the company celebrated its 30th anniversary.
