On Tuesday, February 10, Grenville-sur-la-Rouge Council unanimously approved the purchase of a new pickup truck for the Public Works Department to replace an aging and obsolete model. The total cost for the 2025 GMC Sierra Elevation will be $65,995, plus HST.
In a report to council, the Public Works Department noted that the municipality’s current pickup truck is showing significant wear and no longer meets the department’s operational needs.
Hawkesbury Cadillac Chevrolet Buick GMC submitted the successful bid meeting the required specifications and was awarded the contract by council. Funds for the purchase will come from unallocated surplus.
