ATV and snowmobile enthusiasts participated in a fundraising ride on Saturday, February 7, travelling from Place 1967 in Plantagenet to Oasis RV Resort in Limoges and back to raise funds for the Relais Forest Larose project.

In collaboration with the United Counties of Prescott and Russell (UCPR), the ATV Club of Eastern Ontario, and the Eastern Ontario Snowmobile Club, the project aims to build a warming and gathering shelter in the heart of the Larose Forest.

The ATV Club approached Larose Forest Management in 2023 to begin project planning after the UCPR expressed support for the self-funded initiative, which is scheduled for construction by fall 2027. The shelter will be located at the centre of the forest, near the ATV Club’s Trail 210 and the Snowmobile Club’s Trail 35.

A silent auction was also held from February 6th to 8th to support the project.

The initiative will support riders during both summer and winter months by providing a place to warm up and gather along the trail network.
