The Québec government is allocating more than $15 million for local road improvements in Argenteuil.

On January 30, Argenteuil Member of the National Assembly Agnès Grondin announced the funding, which is from the government’s Programme d’aide à la voirie locale (PAVL) local roads program. The funding is being distributed to five municipalities.

More than $5.8 million is being granted to Grenville-sur-la-Rouge for three projects. This includes $3,750,000 for improvements to a section of Chemin du Rivière-Rouge et Chemin Kilmar. For further improvements to Chemin Harrington, the municipality is receiving $1,419,603.  Grenville-sur-la-Rouge is also receiving $669,366 for a culvert replacement on Rue des Colibris.

A PAVL grant of $3,540,118 is being given to the Municipality of Saint-André-d ’Argenteuil for construction on Chemin de l’Île-aux-Chats.

Harrington is receiving $1,452,527 for work on a section of Chemin Harrington.

More than $3.6 million is being granted to Wentworth for two projects. These projects are $2,056,642 for work on Chemin Louisa, and $1,592,257 for work on Chemin Dalesville.

Additionally, $673,221 is being granted to Mille-Isles for work on Montée de l’Église.

The Argenteuil PAVL allocation is part of a $384.2 series of local roads improvement grants being made across Québec.
