On Wednesday, January 21, the Municipalité régionale de comté (MRC) d’Argenteuil announced it would award the Musée régional d’Argenteuil $45,000 to support its 2026 operations. MRC d’Argenteuil Director General and Treasurer Éric Pelletier confirmed the funds would be distributed in four payments throughout the year to support the museum’s mission.
The first payment of $15,000 will be made in February, followed by a second $15,000 payment in April, contingent on the validation of the museum’s financial statements from the previous fiscal year. The funds will be used for events, maintenance, and other operating expenses.
The third payment, totalling $10,000, will be issued in July. The final payment of $5,000 is scheduled to be distributed in October.
Pelletier said the funding has been allocated from the 2026 budget and is intended to support local cultural institutions.
