The Alfred Optimists have contributed more than $25,000 to activities in the communities of Alfred, Plantagenet, and Lefaive during the past year.
Many activities, such as Family Day, Arcade Day during the March school break, the Easter Egg Hunt, Dress Up Our Little Hearts, Santa’s visit, and Pay It Forward, have enriched the daily lives of local children.
In addition to these activities, donations were made to École St-Victor for the music program, the cross-country race, and Franco-Ontarian Day.
Each year, in return, the community gives generously at the club’s annual lobster dinner, which will be held this year on May 30, 2026, at the Alfred Community Hall. The Alfred Optimist Club is celebrating 50 years of history in the community and remains committed to helping children and investing in its community for many years to come.
