A joint investigation led by the Ottawa Police Service (OPS), with support from the Brockville Police Service and the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), has resulted in the arrest of an individual in connection with a robbery and break‑and‑enter that occurred in late 2024 near Limoges.

On December 23, 2024, Russell County OPP responded to a reported robbery and break and enter at a residence on Limoges Road in The Nation. The investigation determined that a suspect entered the dwelling while armed with a handgun and committed a robbery.

Following an extensive multi jurisdictional investigation, police arrested a 26-year-old male from Ottawa, Ontario, who now faces Criminal Code charges in numerous jurisdictions.

Charges for the incident in The Nation include:

• Break and enter a dwelling house with intent

• Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence (Robbery)

• Possession of a loaded prohibited/restricted firearm

• Robbery using a firearm

The accused remains in custody pending a court appearance.
