Two local municipalities are collecting discarded natural Christmas trees for recycling. Only real trees are being collected.
Champlain Township
Trees are collected until January 11. Trees must be placed by the road by 6 am on January 5. Collection may not occur at the same time as regular garbage pickup. Do not put the tree in a plastic bag.
Hawkesbury
According to a waste collection schedule calendar, discarded real Christmas trees will be collected in Hawkesbury on January 9 and January 16.
