On the evening of Friday, December 5, the city of Lachute welcomed special visitors from the North Pole. The annual Lachute Santa Claus Parade drew families to rue Principale and avenue Bethany to catch a glimpse of Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and numerous holiday displays created by community organizations and businesses.
A record 50 floats took part in the festive event this year.

In front of Lachute’s city hall, La Chorale de l’AREQ provided holiday merriment, while municipal staff and Café Partage d’Argenteuil volunteers offered free hot chocolate and coffee to keep attendees warm before the parade.
Santa’s elves also collected children’s letters along the route to ensure the big man himself received their wish lists.
