The Hawkesbury Chamber Orchestra returned for a holiday season performance on Sunday, November 30.

The orchestra, under the direction of Marc Trautmann, performed Johann Sebastian Bach’s Christmas Oratorio at Paroisse Saint-Pierre-Apôtre parish. The orchestra included 16 musicians and four vocalists who also gave solo performances. Between each piece of music, readings about the birth of Jesus Christ from the Gospels of St. Luke and St. Matthew were delivered.

The concert was held as part of the commemoration of 100 years since the Église Saint-Alphonse-Ligouri church, which is now home of Paroisse Saint-Pierre-Apôtre parish. The parish organized the concert in collaboration with Centre Culturel Le Chenail.
