A fatal crash involving two small airplanes in South Glengarry north of Martintown is being investigated.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), shortly after 11 am on Saturday, November 15, one of the aircraft landed safely, while the other aircraft was located in a wooded area. The pilot, who was alone in that aircraft, was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has been identified as a 28-year-old from Ile Bizard near Montréal.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has taken over the investigation.
County Road 25 was closed between County Road 20 and Chapel Road as a result of the crash and the investigation.
