A tractor trailer travelling westbound on Highway 417 in East Hawkesbury was involved in a single vehicle collision during the morning of Friday, November 14.
The collision occurred between Highway 17 and County Road 10 near the underpass for the former railroad tracks that are now the Prescott and Russell Recreation Trail.
The vehicle left the highway, broke through a guardrail and crashed in the median.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), eastbound Highway 417 was closed between County Road 10 and Highway 17 later in the day so that the tractor trailer could be removed from the median.
