Shaw’s Cemetery is located on a small hill in the centre of Harrington Valley. The surroundings are some of the most beautiful in the region. Most of the people buried in the cemetery are descendants of the pioneer families who settled in the area and have continued to farm or work in the woods in the generations since then. Shaw’s Cemetery is home to 31 graves where local veterans who served in all branches of the military both in times of war and times of peace are interred. A sign at the cemetery respectfully lists the names of each veteran.
